  1. Latin Grammy nominees Kinky's new album 'Sue¤o de la Maquina' was produced and mixed by legendary Dust Brother, John King, who has produced Beck, Rolling Stones and Beastie Boys. The album was mastered by Howie Weinberg, whose credits include iconic albums like Red Hot Chili Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Nirvana's Nevermind and U2's Pop/5(14).
  2. A few years ago, I stumbled onto "The Tijuana Sessions: vol. 3" by Nortec Collective. I was interested in electronica and this album was just sensational, in my opinion. It was electronica, all right, but was unlike any other electronica I'd ever heard. Then I purchased a number of other Mexican techno discs and all proved interesting and Missing: MVP.

  5. At long last, Plaid's bizarre take on Latin music, "Scoobs" -- previously "Scoobs in Columbia" -- makes its appearance on the PEEL SESSIONS. This is early Plaid, no doubt, but it has a distinctive character and sense of fun. "Eph" is simplistic, but even its rudimentary synth pads puts some modern IDM to shame/5(4).
